Hill stations

Tamilnadu is always warm and sunny and only the hill stations in western ghat  are cool and pleasant. People stay here for the pleasant atmosphere, greenery and cool climate. These hill stations are mostly tourist spots. Here business activities include only catering to the needs of Tourists. Local tribes are the residents of this hill station. Tourism department and Forest department maintain these hill stations to safeguard the interest of Tourists.  With the awareness of Eco tourism, many developments have been made for the convenience of the tourists. Tree house, Jungle Bungalow, Tents are becoming popular as a stay option in hills apart from the regular Hotels and homestays.

There are more than 15 Hill stations in Tamilnadu. When Kodaikanal is called as King of Hills, Ooty is called Queen of hills. Ooty, Kodaikanal, Yercaud, Yelagiri,Coonoor are the famous hill spots and there are many other unexplored places which draw people of late …Kotagiri, Javadi Hills, Kalrayan hills, Bellikkal,Sirumalai, Valparai, Theni,Pollachi, Kolli Hills, Kolukkumalai, Megamalai are also becoming tourist friendly hill station.
